Man attacks woman near NC State

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A 44-year-old man was arrested Sunday after a woman said he attacked her.

Police said a 49-year-old woman was sitting on a bench in the 100 block of Chamberlain Street behind shops on Hillsborough Street near NC State's campus, when she said she was attacked.

She told officers she yelled for help as another person was walking by and then called police.

Authorities arrested Eddie Harris and charged him with kidnapping and attempted second degree rape.

Assertive verbal self-defense effectively changes
the dynamics of an attempted assault in a female's favor. This woman took the power away from her assailant by standing up for herself.

The last thing that an assailant expects is for a female to FIGHT BACK and DEFEND herself. Mess him up mentally and he has no clue what to do - catch him off guard. NEVER EVER GIVE UP!

Obviously he got the surprise of his life and let's pray that he is kept off of the streets so that no other woman will ever experience the wrath of this predator.
