I'M TOO BUSY........Myths=Excuses/Facts=Reality

For several years I have just loved females of all ages that play the "busy card". This excuse is used in all respects from getting out of social engagements to shopping for a better deal on car insurance to exercising......you name it! And, as Americans we are truly busy and we juggle our time, trust me I know the feeling. We have families, jobs, household duties/chores, children in sports, car pooling, getting on the computer to chat or catch up on emails, exercise, (for those younger, school, social events, sports, hanging with friends, shopping, movies, malls, etc.) and we watch TV! Watch TV?

Let me ask.......how much TV do you watch a day? Not much at all, an hour or so? Awhile back there was a survey that indicated that a man watched 2.7 hours of TV per day, the average woman 2.4 hours. Now can we be realisitic? Are we spending 2.5 hours out of each day watching CNN or MSNBC?

TV is not bad, I am suggesting that we spend much more time being entertained by the "boob tube". I am thinking/typing in generalities only - don't get indignate. I have brought this specifically up so that you can carefully evaluate how you spend your time. There are so many more activities that we engage in that we may not need to spend so much time doing. There are key areas in our daily routines that we can spend less time on.

How much time does it really take to learn "realistic personal safety"? At minimal, you can learn to save your life in 4 to 6 hours on a Saturday morning/afternoon or on a Sunday afternoon. "Realistic" training that you will have the REST OF YOUR LIFE! You will have to practice on a daily basis what you are taught focusing on your survival training which will benefit you. Learning "realistic personal safety" does not require taking a six week course or must consume the majority of your time.

We all lead busy lives. But if we were injured to some degree because of a crime or dead and we may have been able to prevent either from happening, we wouldn't have our lives to decide how to spend our time.

It's as simple as that. Are you willing to learn "realisitic personal safety that you will have for the rest of your life"? Ultimately, it's worth the 4-6 hours and well spent.

You are worth it!

Your family and friends need you.

You don't even have to leave your home town because we travel to you. Now is 4-6 hours on a Saturday or Sunday too much to give up?

You weigh the pros and cons.
All it takes is good common sense and to be "realistic" with yourself.

If you are in an abusive relationship, you need a plan.

Take care and STAY SAFE!
